... from a Thunder Ranch Defensive Shotgun class. I used a Remington 870 and the Hornady TAP 00 Buckshot.
I can't find the words to describe how impressed I am with this ammunition.
My 10 yard patterning shot had Clint Smith asking me if I was using slugs until I showed him the hull. The 15 yard pattern was consistent with the 3-4" that are advertised.
Thank you for an outstanding product!

To The Fine Staff At Hornady,
I just want to thank you for producing the best ammunition on the face of this planet. I use your ammunition to hunt with, to compete with and as a duty round. Without any doubt, your products are the most consistent, the most accurate and the most terminally effective. I have complete confidence in your ammunition whether for work or for play. Keep up the good work!!!

I was able to get a box of the 165 TAP Barrier ammo. I demonstrated it for the guys at NASA S.W.A.T. and Brevard County SO. We shot 1/8" and 1/4" single and double pane window panels, tempered and non-tempered, as well as auto windshields, side and back glasses. Everyone was very impressed with the performance of the ammo, as it performed perfectly in every scenario. One test shot I set up simulated shooting through both side-glass windows of a parked car (2 matched side glass panels 6.5 feet apart), at a target 18 inches from the far side window. The TAP gave one clean hole, with less than 1” deflection, and made believers out of the folks there.

I wanted to send you these pictures of one of my targets taken at a sniper competition earlier in the month. Our SWAT commander was so impressed with the TAP ammo that he very quickly purchased the TAP 168 Gr. ammo as our duty rounds for the snipers on the team. Thanks for your help and support.

I just wanted to say thank you for producing such a quality 00 buckshot round with Law Enforcement in mind. I am the Department's Firearms Instructor, and have tried just about every brand of Buckshot and Hornady TAP out performs the competition hands down.

We have tried the 110 and 155 grain 308 ammo at 100 yards. I’m a competitive shooter and have been the sniper team leader for over 10 years now. I teach at the State LE sniper school. I handload a lot of ammo, for both hunting and target shooting.
All that said, I am impressed with what I’ve seen so far. I took my SWAT rifle to the range for some comparison shooting at 100 yards. The rifle is a Remington 700, with a 24” stainless Krieger barrel in a 1:12 twist. The action has been trued by a master gunsmith. The action is steel bedded in a brand new McMillan M40A1-3 stock and topped off with a US Optics scope. It’s a shooter!
I was surprised and pleased to see how well the 110 grain ammo shot. I didn’t expect that good of accuracy from such a lightweight bullet. Also I was amazed that your 155 and 110 grain loads shot to virtually the same point of impact as the 168 grain loads we use.

This group was shot using your TAP 12ga 2 3/4 inch 00 Buckshot (red hull).
Distance: 15 yards
Group measured 1 3/4 x 1 1/2
P.S. we could use some more of this to show off at the Northwest Pennsylvania Correctional Academy
